Business finance stories wanted

I'm doing a piece on how to raise money to start a small business. If yours is a success story--no matter if you got a loan, took out a home equity line of credit or simply used a credit card--give me a shout and we'll see if I can include you in my story.

Thanks!

Jeff

One of our companies started out with a couple of partners pulling equity from their homes. They then partnered with investors on a case-by-case basis for 2 years. When we came on, we initiated a Private Placement under SEC rule 506 Reg D. That allowed us to grow $2.5mm to $12mm in less than 18 months while reducing administrative duties associated with partnering on a case-by-case basis.

I simply used three different small business loans. I couldn't find a lender that would give me enough, so I had to get three. I had them paid off five years later.
